What's An Indiepreneur?
Back in the day when I started my biz I used to call myself CEO because I thought it was funny, but stopped after I realized people took it seriously. Usually now when people ask what I do I just say I'm a writer. Occasionally I'll say I'm an indipreneur too. Just my take on the word 'entrepreneur' which means: a person who organizes and manages any enterprise, especially a business, usually with considerable initiative and risk. Why the indie? Because I'm intentionally outside mainstream publishing and production as well as being committed to to the independent, DIY ethic. Also being independent creative person usually means living with considerable financial risk, so I need considerable initiative to stay afloat.
It's all coming together for me. Watch...wait for it
